We’re happy to introduce the limited-edition Vans x Fairdale project, which includes a Taj cruiser, BMX Sk8 Hi and Old Skool sneakers, water bottle, shirt and a giraffe!
Vans has been a strong Fairdale supporter over the years, so it was only a matter of time before we partnered up on a bigger project. Drawing inspiration from both of our worlds, this project combines a classic Vans aesthetic with Fairdale’s fun and playful take on branding.
In all seriousness (kinda), It was a huge honor to design some actual Vans and put a giraffe on them. Perhaps you too can perform the Kiss of Death!
Nothing to see here, just Taj Mihelich shredding the new Hareraiser dirt jumper. Frames are available NOW through shops and our store. Headset included, rigid fork sold separately.
This fully capable 26” DJ frame is made of 100% 4130 chromoly with a 3/8” axle slot, integrated chain tensioners, BSA 73mm threaded bottom bracket, ultra-short chainstays and a tapered 1-1/8” to 1-1/2” head tube with removable tabs for a traditional BMX-style Gyro.
Designed from the ground up to make the transition between riding a MTB, DJ bike, and BMX as seamless as possible. FSA Orbit headset included with frame.
We know these are wild times and that you may be stuck indoors, potentially with kids to entertain as well. That’s why we are providing some art that you can print out and color in to help fill some time. Adults and kids alike. Enjoy!
If you share your creations on social media, be sure to use hashtag #fairdalebikes.
This video gave all the feels. Hit play to learn a little more about Taj’s legendary roots in BMX, his transition out of being pro, and re-discovering the joy of riding bikes of all sizes. After all these years, it’s wild to think Fairdale just started as a blog for his illustrations.
Dig BMX is celebrating 30 years of Odyssey BMX by posting the Electronical video in full. We use lots of Odyssey BMX parts on our bikes, the Fairdale brand is produced with Odyssey’s help and Taj has a section in the video. Check out some BMX action here.
Sandy’s bike with recently added egg beater pedals and 40mm Clement tires.
Our man Sandy Carson has been out and about riding bikes with his crew, The Sativa Rollers, and shooting photos. He sent over a little report…
Two weekends ago, we rode the Bicycle Sport Shop Gravel Grinder. It’s a 50 mile ride on a jeep road through Rocky Hill Ranch and Buescher State Park. It was bloody freezing rain!
If you’ve been reading our posts about each of our 2015 bikes you may have noticed me saying this one’s a “favorite”, or that one’s “our favorite”. Well, this bike is my REAL favorite model of the 2015 line. The Weekender with drop bars is so nice to ride and I’m very excited for you all to see it (and ride one). I feel like we absolutely nailed the spec on this bike and it has created a bike that is very special. The Drop Weekender is a tough, all-purpose road bike. It is reliable transportation that can keep you out of cars, and keep you smiling.
Our buddy Seth Holton sent us a couple pics of his Fairdale working on a sunny day in Seattle. Good to see the bike holding up to real world messenger work.
