TX Toast News April 25, 2011
I don’t really know how Fairdale is sponsoring the Texas Toast Jam, but because I’m organizing it I’m saying we’re a sponsor!
Got a little news update for you…
Texas Toast Jam is coming up May 27-29. Dirt registration is starting to fill up so hurry up and register here:
dirt registration.
We just added Fox, Subrosa, Shadow, Tree Bikes, Blacken and KVRX 91.7 to the event sponsor list. So glad to see BMX pulling together and pitching in to make sure we all have a fun event.
Confirmed royalty VIP guests to the event are Mat Hoffman, Mike Dominguez, and Brian Blyther. We heard Ron Wilkerson, Dave Friemuth and The Lord Voelker may make it as well!
All the best pro riders will be here to shred the dirt jumps and street obstacles. Darryl Nau of Blacken is heading up announcing duties with assistance from FBM’s Steve Crandal. Darryl is also using his considerable party skills to set up some epic after parties. Ringmaster Leland Thurman is now directing the action at the Gauntlet of DEATH. Watch riders brave its treachery and take on a 48 foot long dragon!
I need help running the event and building dirt jumps and ramps, please email me to volunteer: fairdale@odysseybmx.com.

Prototype sample in the wild…. April 13, 2011
We let our good friend Leif Valin test out one of our Parser frame and fork kits. Its one of the few samples we have at the moment. Our first order of bikes will be finishing production at the end of May.
Spy shot… new model April 11, 2011
The Parser Express and Parser Black are still looking to arrive at the end of May. Pretty excited about that.
Just got a new prototype version of the Parser that can fit gears and disc brakes. I’m sure this one will be a while down the pipeline (months from now… don’t get too excited) but here’s a tiny little sneak peak (more soon)…
Big version April 6, 2011
This is certainly not deep or anything. But i had an extra board and so made a little drawing into a big one.
A Ross Painting March 29, 2011
So one day Aaron Ross strolled into the OTX office and asked if I would paint a picture of what I thought was going on in his brain. Keep in mind this was like 2 days after he walked in the office and said he wanted to jump down a set of stairs with 50 gallon drums of orange soda exploding underneath him. It was too good to pass up.
The soda thing actually happened. And so eventually I got working on the painting.
Babies Sell March 25, 2011
Its been a bit sparse over here on the updates hasn’t it? I guess we are in sort of a lull at the moment. Fairdale Parsers are being built as I send this text over the interweb and there’s just not a whole lot new to update til they get closer to arriving. I guess I got a new Skate-rack prototype but I want to get it just a little more dialed in before I show it to you all.
Other then that I’ve been starting to work hard on the TX Toast Jam contest that Odyssey is putting on. I’m not sure it was a good idea to have the arrival dates for the Fairdale bikes be the same day as the big contest I am running! Anyway, there is an official website for the contest now that will be periodically updated. Keep a tab on it if you can. Texas Toast Jam web page on Odyssey BMX.
One issue with Fairdale Bikes is that I’m not really sure how we will sell them. All I really know is BMX and a lot of BMX shops don’t carry road bikes or commuter bikes like ours. I’ve been really thinking about what we should do with marketing.
