Sieben & Fairdale collection available now! Welco Sieben & Fairdale collection available now!

Welcome to our new artist bike by Michael Sieben. We are huge fans of Mr. Sieben and are honored to feature his work.

Many years ago, I worked with Michael at my old BMX company, T-1 [Terrible One]. Michael was amazing as our art director. He had an endless amount of creativity and good humor. It was always inspiring to be around him. And, it still is!

Now, 25-ish years later, I get to work with Michael again. This time, he turned our Weekender Nomad MX model into an artist bike. The bike is one of our favorite models, and it means a lot to us. The Weekender line is what Fairdale is all about–a bike that cycling nerds like us and our friends who maybe haven’t spent their lives obsessing over bikes all love to ride. Adorned with original Michael Sieben art, this deluxe Weekender MX artist model is extra super special.

Thanks to Mr. Sieben for being part of the project. We hope you enjoy the @sieben_up & @fairdalebikes Weekender.

Big thanks to @t1stagram for the old photos and video. And @devonhutchins for putting together the video.
SRAM T-Type Eagle Transmission on your Elevator? @ SRAM T-Type Eagle Transmission on your Elevator? @leifiel and @tajlucas have been running versions of this drivetrain on their Elevators for years (thanks to some early prototype versions and the newer mechanical Eagle 90). We wrote a little blog about the set up over on the website. Or, if you’re in a hurry 32t: 112 links, set up position A, 21t cog. 30/28t? 110 links.
We love seeing your custom builds! @nordic_cyclist We love seeing your custom builds! @nordic_cyclist’s sweet Weekender is no exception 👌.

A throwback to the simpler times of 2014. On a whi A throwback to the simpler times of 2014. On a whim we built a bunch of weird bikes out of 2x4’s and rode them around in this R&D video. @leifiel and @tajlucas and Monty bravely tested them. @hellok1k0 turned it into this video.
Soon. Soon.

Keepin’ it simple keeps it fun. That’s our mot Keepin’ it simple keeps it fun. That’s our motto, and it could be yours, too, on the Ridgemont.

A bike ride can be a much needed reset—a chance to clear your head and enjoy simplicity.

Just step outside, hop onboard, and enjoy.

Our Ridgemont in black retails for $599 (USA). It’s a simple steel bike that comes in two sizes and has eight gears. It’s a fun bike to ride. That’s really the end of the story.
Today on the Fairdale blog we look at our beloved Today on the Fairdale blog we look at our beloved Macaroni models (new Cowabunga Green!). Click on over to our site for the full write up.

Our Macaroni is a special bike. We worked hard to design a bike that would better fit young riders. Creating the Macaroni started with a look at our little brother brand, Sunday Bikes. The @sundaybikes starter BMX bikes are an incredible way to begin your BMX journey, but not every young rider is headed to the X Games. We drew on 40 years of BMX bike-making know-how and applied it to a design that is more ergonomically suited to a young rider. Whereas the Sunday bikes focus on doing tricks and getting rad, Macaronis are all about stability and the joy of pedaling a bike.

I love BMX, and spent half my life focused on nothing else, but I’ve learned that deep inside every ride is the simple joy of “just riding a bike”. I know that sounds like marketing fluff, but it is a sincere founding principle of Fairdale. Many riders like me get so hooked on bikes that we spend a lifetime demanding that our machines go faster and jump further. It’s borderline an obsession–a satisfying and enjoyable one we recommend! However, it is good to remember the root magic that is at the base of riding a bike: it is pure fun to just roll.

The Macaroni’s main purpose is to pass this magic onto younger riders. It’s built tough like a BMX–it’s simple to keep rolling… [more on profile link / FairdaleBikes dot com]
Our Elevator MTB frame has one of the shortest rea Our Elevator MTB frame has one of the shortest rear ends ever for a 29er. This trend-bucking feature makes the bike feel very lively. Easily pulling up the front end to manual or placing it where you want on rough terrain fits well with hardtail riding. And, with such an active frame, finessing the bike is the fun part. It is a different sensation than riding a modern full suspension bike that plows through the trail. The Elevator makes any trail at any speed entertaining.

I put a bike check of my build up on the Fairdale site if you’re interested.
