Our own Sandy Carson is just back from a trip out to far West Texas. He wrote up a little journal post…
This road is featured in the movie 'No country For Old Men', but where does it end?
Just been out to the West Texas desert last week, for a couple of photo assignments in Marfa and Marathon. Of course, having time to kill, I had to take the road bike and take advantage of the epic rides and cinematic scenery there. Nothing like being eaten up by an endless expanse of Chihuahuan Desert to clear the head.

Sandy has a little write up over on Feature Shoot.com about his on going cat trapping series.
I love to tease Sandy about being a crazy cat person but in reality he’s just a nice guy who wants to save kitties from a life on the streets.
Read more about what he’s up to (and marvel at some telling photos) here.
Prolly Is Not Probably has an exclusive preview of our new bike model. It’s a collaboration with Roger Skateboards and features graphics and matching skateboard by Roger. This bike is extremely limited edition with only 50 in the entire world. Looking for a late May release date.
See much more of the bike over on Prolly Is Not Probably.
Leif Valin sent us some photos and art. Enjoy… and check out Pig Log!

Fairdale friend Ryan Worcester is helping some kids out with a skatepark. Looks like a really cool program. The kids get to learn how to run the park, maintain the park and of course have fun at the park. There’s a little video on the kickstarter page that’s worth a watch here.
Sandy Carson launched an entirely rebuilt website. It’s pretty amazing with in depth looks at some of his projects. I especially like (and am disturbed by) the “Just Do It” project feed that the photo above is from. Check out Sandy’s work here.
Adam Butler is hosting an individual time-trial race up Austin’s Mt. Bonnell this Sunday.
All proceeds from the race will be going to the American Red Cross.
Get out there and pedal your butt up a hill, or cheer on the riders. If you’re lucky you might walk away with a brand new Fairdale frame and fork set!
Check out details of the race here.
Well, this photo is from a secret project and you haven’t heard about it yet, but it’s on Vice so go nuts and pretend you aren’t reading about it… Michael Sieben’s Kill The Engine. … and don’t tell anyone.
Our buddy Seth Holton sent us a couple pics of his Fairdale working on a sunny day in Seattle. Good to see the bike holding up to real world messenger work.
