Upgrade your old Weekender with more gear rangeThe 2016 Weekender Drop comes stock with a 11- 40t rear cassette. With 10 different gears ranging from a-bombing-down-a-hill-high-speed 11t to the granny-gear-hill-climbing 40t you can ride anything that comes your way. Older Weekenders have an 11-36t rear cassette. If you want a bigger range of gears you can follow the traditional path and add a front derailleur and another sprocket up front.

Our Elevator MTB frame has one of the shortest rear ends ever for a 29er. This trend-bucking feature makes the bike feel very lively. Easily pulling up the front end to manual or placing it where you want on rough terrain fits well with hardtail riding. And, with such an active frame, finessing the bike is the fun part. It is a different sensation than riding a modern full suspension bike that plows through the trail. The Elevator makes any trail at any speed entertaining.

I drew this up for the new @greystokebmx mag. It’s technically not a BMX since our rabbit riding our 26” Hareraiser dirt jumper bike. Although, some would say a DJ bike is an old person’s BMX. We would say, having fun in the woods on a bike is having fun! - @tajlucas

One of the main goals of Fairdale is to encourage you to get outside and have fun on a bike, but what if you wanted to turn your bike into a torture chamber you kept inside your house? @tajlucas wrote a blog on the Fairdale site about how you to could join the “fun” of indoor cycling.

He swears it is more fun than it sounds like (or at least more fun now that we have smart trainers).

I often encourage my friends who are looking for a bike to “just ride around” to get a Taj bike. A big-wheeled BMX bike might seem like an odd recommendation, but there is some logic behind it. The Taj model is as simple to keep running as any BMX. Durable parts you don’t have to worry about or constantly service (though, of course, you should service them once in a while). The 27.5 wheels and larger frame mean you can sit down and pedal, and it fits a wide range of riders. It’s not as agile as a “true” 20” BMX, but it is still plenty of fun on a pump track or even just rolling around the neighborhood. It’s just a fun bike to ride around!
