Our 2016 bikes won’t be available to you until Novemeber, but BMX Cruisers posted up some info on a couple of our 2016 models for you to preview. Check out the 2016 Taj bike, and our new model, the Weekender MX. We’ll have some more official news on these and all the new models coming soon. Read on to see more HERE.
John Watson shot this photo and some other great ones of our Goodship for Andre Chelliah’s review on The Radavist.
Check out the review that contains excellent consumer advice like this, “What would I change on the bike? Not a lot. At $2999.99, The Goodship might be the best complete steel road race bike available right now. I definitely feel that for the price point, you are getting the most bang for your buck.”
Bicycle Sports Shop wrote up a review talking about our latest creation, The Badship. This one of a kind specially painted Goodship frame and fork also got a special part build (and so we named it the Badship). They had the pleasure of sailing around on this black beauty for about a week, and you can read about their experience by clicking HERE. It’s also full of great insight into our Goodship frame and fork too:
“…But the bike is also point and shoot. Aim the Goodship at a turn and counter steer a bit and the bike holds a line like it’s nobody’s business. At speed or cruising town, the Goodship capably does what’s asked of it when it comes to handling. And that holds true out at the Driveway Series as well. Hanson at the Lamar store has a Goodship that stepped on the podium a few weeks back. Not for nothing but he rolled away from a bevy of guys on the latest aero everything and just missed the win taking second. All aboard a Goodship.”
Check out the full review and keep in mind the Badship will be auctioned off for a charity Aug.1 so it could be yours!
And thanks to BSS, SRAM, and Zipp for making the Badship reality.
PS I just mistyped “Badship” as “BARship”. Could be a new bar cruising model!!
We gave you guys a sneak peek of the Badship last week, and now we have a video showing you guys some of the hand-painting process and custom build that went into this one of a kind Fairdale Goodship.
The Badship’s components were selected by Bicycle Sport Shop with help from our friends at SRAM and ZIPP. Some key features include:
Full SRAM Force 22 drivetrain with a compact crankset and an 11-28 cassette
To get an idea of what it’s like sailing around on this thing, click here, or if you want to scope her out in person, swing by the Bicycle Sports Shop on 517 S. Lamar Blvd. in Austin!
A new model for 2015, the Daybird is our take on a legendary classic. This simple and easy to use 3-speed is available as a step-through (shown) or a Standard model. We didn’t make this bike to win races or jump off roofs, we made this bike so you could enjoy bike riding!
We find it extremely flattering when folks who work at bike shops choose to ride our bikes. Ben here works at our top dealer Bicycle Sport Shop in Austin, Texas and is cruising our 2014 Parser. We can’t thank BSS enough for all that they’ve done for us through the years, nor can we properly thank our hometown of Austin for all the support the city has given us. But we’ll give it a try… thanks to Ben, Bicycle Sport Shop, and all the other great dealers in Austin who have helped us so much! Cheers y’all!
Yay! A new round of Goodships have arrived in Electric Blue. We also finally have 52cm bikes and frame +forks in stock. Eagle eyed folks will also note we ever so slightly revisited the 54cm geometry as it is now based around ENVE’s 45mm rake fork. More
One of the features on the Taj bike is that it has a Potts Mod. This early 80’s BMX innovation can sometimes be confusing to younger riders and mechanics who weren’t even alive back when this doo-dad was popular.
2015 Weekender frame-sets are finally in stock. The Weekender is a great platform for custom builds and can be turned into everything from Gravel Grinder to commuter to tourer. Available now in Black with blue graphics or our excellent Electro Silver.
Parser frame-sets are in stock too! Check out black or Pearl White (it’s kind of shimmery). The fun and tough single speeds can be built into lots of cool builds.
Taj frame and forks are now available in CHROME. Build this 26″ BMX cruiser into something cool. Tough enough for some real BMXing, but comfortable enough for some sit down cruising.
We just finished an educational video series on all of our bikes. Check them out HERE to learn all about all that we do.
Our Swan grips came out pretty awesome and come with bar ends that will fit most any bars.
Our much loved Archer 2 handlebars are available now. Comfortable cruisin’ bars for everyone. 31.8mm clamp and room for shifters (even grip shifters).
Our saddles are in stock and available. Choose from a nice soft Cruiser seat, our favorite Logo seat or from our Goodship, the Race Saddle (also available in Microtex).
