A look at our Design Director, Chris Cotsonas’ G

A look at our Design Director, Chris Cotsonas’ Goodship build. The Goodship is our steel road bike that Chris rides daily. It sits outside of our main line of bikes as a bit of a special project and explores some of our technical abilities in bicycle manufacturing.

He decked out this build with Chris King bits, an ENVE fork, and an assortment of parts that he knows and trusts.

He’s also running @odysseybmx OPTIS for road. The combination of higher volume tires with lower pressure and the support of a firmer OPTIS inflation has been serving him well. He’s also added @clikvalve to his OPTIS which makes keeping correct pressures a breeze.

Chris rode all through the blistering Austin summer and is surely grateful for some cooler winter temps on shade free roads like these.

Using a steel frame as a base for a collection of proven modern components yields an excellent ride. It’s interesting the way carbon and steel can compliment each other.

Ran into BMX legend @jasonenns at the skatepark and got him to do a few Canadians on my new Taj bike. Stoked to see the front brakes put to proper use.

The Taj is a 27.5” BMX bike for cruising around on, and still fun if your “cruise” takes you near the skatepark and dirt jumps. -Taj

I see this scene play out in real life every time I go for a pedal… rolling through town with my eyes up enjoying the sights, but everyone around me has their head’s bowed–hypnotized by their phones. I do it myself of course, but these brief looks from my bike while outside my little screen’s control are refreshing. -Taj
