What is Full Factory?
If you’ve ever poked around on our online store you’ll soon find yourself on FullFactoryDistro.com. Not to worry, Full Factory Distribution is us. To be exact, it is our in-house distribution wing that specializes in selling to bike shops. You will see the consumer-focused version of what bike shops see while shopping our products.
Full Factory also sells our other brands, Odyssey BMX and MTB components, Sunday Bikes, and G-Sport components. Full Factory also distributes the UK based BMX brand BSD to USA dealers (and BSD sells Odyssey, Sunday, and Fairdale to UK customers).
Full Factory was started 16 years ago to better service our dealers by working directly with them. Some years later we opened up a consumer facing version. It is a challenge for a bike brand (especially a smaller one like Fairdale) to balance reaching customers vs supporting our dealers. We want to make buying Fairdale bikes, parts and softgoods as easy as possible for you, but we also want our customers to have the expertise of a local bike shop supporting them. With that said, you can buy our bikes direct from our website, but you can also buy our bikes (most likely at the same price) through a bike shop. The bike shop will assemble the bike and be ready to service the bike in the future for things like tune-ups, adjustments or any add-ons (fenders, racks, etc). This is why Full Factory and Fairdale both encourage you to shop our site, learn all about our bikes, but if possible, buy your bike from a bike shop. Really, you’ll have a better experience on a properly built bike and with a tune-up down the road after the bike’s break-in period. We have a dealer list here, but most every shop can work with Full Factory to bring in your bike.
