Fairdale Bikes Research and Design Front Derailleur Repurposing Division: Shifting Your Perception April 18, 2016

The bicycle industry has deemed shifting the front chainrings on your bicycle to be unnecessary. The front derailleur has been declared dead. The Fairdale R&D team has the vision to see that the front derailleur still has plenty of life left in it. The incredibly dynamic mechanical range of the front derailleur has many potential uses. The newly formed Fairdale Bikes Front Derailleur Repurposing Division (FBFDRD) is focused on honoring the front derailleur by finding new and practical uses for this beloved bicycle mechanism. New custom bike day for Taj September 24, 2015

The Badship / Preview July 7, 2015

The Badship is a one of a kind, hand painted version of the Fairdale Goodship. The Badship’s components were selected by Bicycle Sport Shop with help from our friends at SRAM and ZIPP. The Badship will be auctioned off the evening of August 1st at the ABGB as part of the Bicycle Sport Shop’s and TexasBikeRacing.com’s El Diablo’s Poker Dash & Bash. Auction Proceeds will benefit the Texas High School Mountain Bike League.

You’d think I’d have some awesome bike since I get to do the design work at Fairdale, but actually my bike is a hodge-podge of mixed up parts I’m either testing or have won through a bean bag toss at Interbike (thanks Niner!). I’ve essentially had the same Weekender build since the West Coast ride we did a year ago. I spent a few hours rummaging for spare parts and rebuilt my machine into this dog carrying commuter.
